Nationwide in-person training events begin October 2026

New training offering complements Bosch's ongoing monthly training opportunities
NBDA's retailer survey reveals top rankings for Bosch, for the third consecutive year

Foothill Ranch, Calif. (Sept. 22, 2026) -- Bosch eBike Systems has again ranked first among e-bike system suppliers in every category measured by the National Bicycle Dealers Association's (NBDA) 2026 Electric Bike Systems Survey, marking the third consecutive year retailers have named Bosch the industry leader in quality, service and satisfaction.

The distinction comes as Bosch deepens its investment in dealer support. This October, the company will introduce its first tiered mechanic training curriculum. This includes a foundational Intro Training and a new, hands-on Tech Training alongside the return of its annual Dealer Training Tour, which trained more than 2,400 people in 2025.

NBDA 2026 Survey
In NBDA's 2026 survey of 224 bicycle retailers across North America, Bosch earned the highest average score of any e-bike system supplier in every category measured, including quality, battery performance, warranty and service support, service timing, training and overall satisfaction. Bosch also topped NBDA's supplier survey in 2024 and 2025, in categories including quality, satisfaction, technical training, brand reputation, and service and warranty support. This is the third straight year the company has received top rankings in this retailer-rated survey.

"As e-bikes continue to grow, safe systems and knowledgeable service are essential to the long-term health of the category," said Heather Mason, Executive Director, National Bicycle Dealers Association. "Specialty Bicycle Retailers are on the front line with consumers, and they need products they can trust, training they can rely on, and the tools to confidently service what they sell. Investing in retailer education and technical support strengthens the retailer, protects the rider, and builds greater confidence in e-bikes as a whole. That commitment to safety and service is incredibly important to the future of our industry."

New for 2026-2027: New Offerings to Dealer Training

This year's Dealer Training, available both online and in-person, will be Bosch eBike System's 11th training season for dealers across North America. For the first time, Bosch is offering two levels of dealer training. Intro Training covers new-bike setup, sales fundamentals, basic troubleshooting, eBike Flow app features and functions, and warranty processes, and is open to staff at any experience level. Attendees receive a one-year Dealer Certification to process warranty claims and access Bosch eBike tools on the Partner Portal like DiagnosticTool 3.

New for this year, Tech Training will be open to technicians who have completed Intro Training within the previous 12 months. This hands-on, in-depth session focuses on diagnosis, troubleshooting and service resolution in extreme use case scenarios. Tech Training participants will be given a Bosch Cross Swap Box, a troubleshooting kit for the Smart System, to use in their shops after the session.

"As more riders choose eBikes, one thing remains true: a product is only as good as the service behind it. We train our specialty dealers extensively and equip them with the tools and education to ensure Bosch customers receive the trustworthy, high-quality support they deserve," said Dave Howard, VP/GM Americas, Bosch eBike Systems. "Our Dealer Training Tour gives specialty dealers across the country a unique opportunity to meet their local representative, work through service challenges, and streamline their processes. We encourage everyone to bring their questions and share their experiences with fellow industry professionals."

The Training Tour will begin this October and continue through February 2027, traveling to approximately 100 cities across North America. Click here to view the full schedule of in-person training sessions. Registration is now open.
