Temecula, California — Frame First LLC, the data-driven domestic assembly and logistics platform built for the premium bike market, today announced the appointment of Mike Barosko as Category Manager – Components and Matt Merullo as Assembly Manager. Barosko will own the full lifecycle of component inventory at Frame First — from building and managing supplier relationships to monitoring on-hand stock, analyzing lead times, and placing the timely purchase orders that keep the company’s assembly operations running without interruption. Merullo will own all assembly processes and procedure and ensure each individual frame brand’s specific assembly requirements are standardized and implemented for each brand.
Barosko brings more than a decade of cycling industry experience to the role, including time at Jenson USA and, most recently, Pivot Cycles. Across those roles he has developed deep product knowledge spanning drivetrain, brakes, suspension, wheels, and finishing kits, along with the vendor relationships and supply instincts needed to anticipate shortages before they impact builds.
The addition strengthens Frame First’s component operation as the company scales its network of more than 40 component partners. Barosko will serve as the primary point of contact for component suppliers, negotiate pricing and allocation, and partner closely with the configurator, assembly, and demand planning teams to ensure Frame First’s catalog reflects the best of what the market has to offer.
“Mike is exactly the kind of hire that makes our model work,” said Jeff Taylor, CEO of Frame First. “Components sit at the heart of what we do — the best options create the best choice which ultimately creates the best consumer experience. Mike combines genuine category expertise with the supply chain discipline to back it up, and he’s spent his career on both the retail and brand sides of this industry. We’re thrilled to have him on the team.”
“Having spent my career in the cycling industry, the opportunity to join Frame First is especially meaningful. The company is bringing a fresh technology driven approach to how brands market, sell, and support their products. I am excited to join a talented team that is challenging traditional models and creating new opportunities for both brands and riders. The potential ahead is tremendous, and I look forward to helping drive that growth”said Mike Barosko, Category Manager – Components at Frame First.
Merullo brings multiple decades of cycling assembly experience to Frame First, including time as former lead assembly manager at Jensen USA and owner of Wrench and Roll- SoCal’s premier technical MTB service company. Matt brings an incredible amount of capability in developing and executing cycling assembly with systematic process and precision.
“Matt is a true value add to the Frame First team. The frame brands recognize him from his years of building a highly technical and precise assembly process that sets the tone for all assembly through Frame First” said Mike Carr, VP Business Development at Frame First.
