Chicago — Longtime cycling and outdoor industry sales professional Michael King is returning to his roots as an independent sales representative bringing decades of experience in brand building retail development and market growth back to Chicago and the Midwest.
King has earned a reputation as one of the industry's most respected independent sales representatives having helped grow and represent many leading brands throughout his career including Giro Sport Design, Pearl Izumi, Sidi and Clif Bar. Known for his ability to build strong retailer relationships and successfully launch emerging brands King has played a key role in expanding market presence for some of the most recognizable names in the cycling and outdoor industries.
King is returning to the region where much of his professional career was built. He will initially represent cycling apparel company CCN, Formula 100 and NINTYK throughout the Midwest. Michael is also looking for select additional selling opportunities.
Before entering the sales side of the industry King established himself as a top-level competitive cyclist racing nationally with the renowned Turin Cycling Team. His first-hand experience as an athlete has long informed his approach to understanding products, supporting retailers and helping brands connect authentically with consumers.
