Four defining highlights, including Green Forward, Motion Vision, Industry Forum, and d&i Awards, anchor the show and drive the industry forward
25 March 2026 – Taipei, Taiwan: TAIPEI CYCLE 2026, organised by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), has officially opened at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Halls 1 and 2. Under the theme "Cycling to Wellness," this year's show responds to the global rise of healthy lifestyles and sustainability trends, bringing together supply chain strengths, cutting-edge innovation, and cycling culture to establish the Asia-Pacific's most influential platform for business exchange and industry engagement. The 2026 show has attracted thousands of international buyers and visitors, reinforcing Taiwan's position as the heart of the global cycling supply chain.
Distinguished guests attending the opening ceremony included Deputy Minister of Sports Chi-Huang Huang, Director General Ming-Chih Chuang of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, TAITRA Chairman James C.F. Huang, Chairman Robert Wu of the Taiwan Bicycle Association, and Honorary Chairman Chien-Wang Huang of the Taipei Sporting Goods Commercial Association, jointly marking the official launch of this premier global industry gathering.
TAITRA Chairman James C.F. Huang stated that the bicycle and fitness industries have evolved beyond manufacturing and technology hubs into a global ecosystem composed of innovators, manufacturers, and partners. Taiwan is now well-positioned to collaborate with global stakeholders in building a more sustainable and resilient future.
Industry representatives also highlighted that the sector is actively advancing toward an "intelligent sports ecosystem", integrating ESG sustainability, AI technologies, and solutions for active ageing. Through innovation in sports technology and the promotion of cycling, the industry aims to contribute to environmental sustainability while improving public health.
TAIPEI CYCLE, and its sister show TaiSPO, integrate the bicycle and fitness industries, connecting global supply chains with market opportunities.
Under the theme "Cycling to Wellness," TAIPEI CYCLE complements TaiSPO's "Stay Fit, Stay Well" vision, jointly highlighting three key trends: healthy lifestyles, technological innovation, and sustainability. Together, the shows present a comprehensive ecosystem spanning cycling culture to smart fitness solutions.
Through this international platform, the exhibitions not only foster cross-sector collaboration but also reinforce Taiwan's critical role and influence within the global sports industry.
TAIPEI CYCLE: Leading the Global Bicycle Industry
TAIPEI CYCLE 2026 stands as a key benchmark event for the global bicycle industry. This year's show brings together 900 exhibitors across 3,450 booths, including 200 international exhibitors, representing approximately 22% of total participation. Amid global supply chain restructuring and shifting regional dynamics, the show continues to attract leading brands and manufacturers from Europe, the Americas, and Asia, underscoring Taiwan's strengths in advanced manufacturing, R&D, and supply chain integration.
The exhibition comprehensively showcases the bicycle industry value chain, from complete bikes and key components to e-bikes, drive systems, smart applications, and advanced materials, demonstrating both industry upgrading and cross-sector integration. As cycling plays an increasingly important role in low-carbon urban mobility and healthy lifestyles, the show also promotes cycling culture through diverse exhibits and experiential activities.
From Manufacturing Hub to Cycling Culture Ecosystem
The "Cycling Paradise Taiwan" cultural zone highlights Taiwan's transformation from a global manufacturing hub to a fully integrated cycling ecosystem that combines industry, culture, and lifestyle.
Centered on three themes—shared culture, integrated ecosystem, and global outreach—the zone demonstrates how Taiwan is embedding cycling into everyday life through industry collaboration and public-private partnerships. Interactive programs such as the TAIPEI CYCLE Workshop, Fantasy Ride Trials, and TCW Tour guided experiences provide visitors with deeper insights into product design, e-bike applications, and industry trends. The Taiwan Excellence Pavilion, organized by the International Trade Administration and implemented by TAITRA, showcases award-winning innovations from 11 companies, including MERIDA's award-winning lightweight e-MTB, KMC's waxed bicycle chain, and Dr. Foot's patented recycled carbon fiber insoles.
