On Saturday and Sunday March 14th and 15th, The Philly Bike Expo returns to the PA Convention Center with an exciting line-up of presentations. "The seminar schedule is always a popular feature of the Philly Bike Expo," says event director Bina Bilenky. "Alongside our renowned exhibits of the latest bicycles and gear from a worldwide selection of top artisans and manufacturers, sponsored rides, parties, and children's activities, the Expo seeks to educate and inspire via informative and entertaining workshops, demos, and seminars."

Kicking things off is "10 things to Help You Bike More" by Pamela Murray. For history buffs, there's "Schwinn History- The Story Behind the Story" - presented by Richard Schwinn about the four generation legacy of his family's iconic bicycle brand.

For parents, "The Long Game: Building a Sustainable Youth Racing Pipeline from Dirt to Adulthood" can be a guide towards their child's life-long participation in sport.

Important legislation will be discussed in "Why Harrisburg Matters to Road Safety" by the team at Piscitello Law, specialists in bicycle advocacy and "E-Bike Crisis" by The American Bicycling Education Association.

Techies, nerds, and DIY-ers will enjoy "The Science of Corrosion for Bike People", "Crank Length: The Long and Short of It", "Bike Fit Unplugged", "Titanium Welding – Real World Lessons from the Work Bench", "Mastering the Vernier Caliper: Precision Measurement for Cyclists", "Flat Tire Repair: Hands-On Basics", "Schwalbe Tubeless Demo: Plug Talk" and "The Importance of Torque Wrenches". "Intro to Bike Maintenance for Kids" will launch a new generation of mechanics.

Travel and gravel enthusiasts and adventure-seekers will be inspired by Jamaica Tourist Board's "Jamaica: Pedaling through Reggae Paradise", "Learning the 9 -11 Trail", "Bikepacking by Transit from Philadelphia", and "PA's Endless Gravel & Wild Elk: Storytelling Through Pennsylvania's Unpaved Backroads". With "Find A Gravel Event in Pennsylvania That's Right For You" attendees can explore options from 11 different ride and race directors in a "speed-dating style" format. There's also a talk by Bill Humphreys, best selling author of the book "What If", as well as a screening of the film "OVERALLS Route - A Gravel Adventure- 505 Miles" followed by a Q&A.

Women ("of a certain age") will have issues addressed in "Cycling Through the Menopause Transition" by podcaster Selene Yeager.

Health and Fitness are the focus of "Plan B- Training & Exercise When Sidelined by Illness or Injury" by Linda A. McGrane, MS, OTR/L. Bring a mat (or use one of ours) for "Yoga for Cyclists" by RuchamaYoga.

The Philly Bike Expo is the East Coast's premier cycling event. The Expo is two action-packed, fun-filled days celebrating everything bicycle. Saturday and Sunday March 14 & 15 at the PA Convention Center. Go to www.phillybikeexpo.com for more information and tickets.
