New Mexico Tourism Department Supports as Title Sponsor, Leaders of Enchantment Renews Media Partnership, Advanced Air Signs on as Official Airline Partner
Silver City, NM — With the 39th Tour of the Gila coming up in less than two months, the iconic bicycling stage race announces its key 2026 sponsors and also calls for additional support.
With the New Mexico Tourism Department signed on as the title sponsor, the Tour of the Gila presented by New Mexico True proudly showcases the Land of Enchantment and specifically the bicycling opportunities in the southwest part of the state.
Returning as the media partner, Leaders of Enchantment sponsors high-quality content creation and distribution. The partner affords timely and high-quality coverage of the races, which draw an engaged global audience. Podcast host Doug Campbell is a native New Mexican who twice raced in Silver City during his pro cycling career. He now vocally promotes Tour of the Gila presented by New Mexico True across the region and the world.
Welcoming Advanced Air as the official airline partner of the 2026 race, Tour of the Gila presented by New Mexico True encourages return visits to Silver City. With routes from Albuquerque and Phoenix, Advanced Air makes traveling to the remote race comfortable and quick. Tour of the Gila is the iconic road bicycling stage race based out of Silver City, New Mexico. Since 1987, Tour of the Gila has become renowned worldwide for notoriously challenging courses. Over five days, athletes follow routes leading from the town’s colorful streets, through the region’s rich history, and along the edges of the nation’s first designated wilderness. Sanctioned by both the global and national governing bodies of cycling, Tour of the Gila provides a rare opportunity for amateur competitive cyclists to compete on the same courses (and on the same days) as the professional athletes.
