Vicenza — A forward-looking appointment: innovation, financial strength and strategic openness at the heart of Campagnolo's next chapter.

The Board of Directors of Campagnolo has approved, effective February 26, 2026, the appointment of Matteo Cassina as a new Board member. The decision reflects the company's commitment to bringing to the table a figure who combines international strategic vision, a deep understanding of product culture and a genuine, lifelong passion for cycling.

Matteo Cassina brings to the Board a distinguished international career built over two decades at the top of global finance. He has held senior positions at some of the world's leading banking institutions, operating across international capital markets. This background has sharpened his ability to read complex market dynamics, lead international organisations and make high-stakes strategic decisions under pressure.

In recent years, Cassina has channelled that same vision into the world of cycling, taking majority ownership and operational leadership of Rouleur, the global media platform dedicated to the art of cycling, which includes Conductor, the creative agency for endurance sport and Passoni, the historic Milanese atelier renowned for handcrafted, bespoke titanium bicycles, in which he holds a controlling stake. An entrepreneurial journey that brings together financial rigour and product obsession in a rare combination, the same relentless drive for performance, applied across different arenas with tangible results.

Campagnolo enters this new phase from a position of strength. The company is highly capitalised and has continued to invest decisively in technological innovation and advanced manufacturing automation, demonstrating its ability to look ahead even in the most challenging conditions. The post-Covid downturn hit the global cycling industry hard, and despite recent losses, Campagnolo navigated this period without compromising its obsession with the highest levels of product quality and performance.

The recent launch of the 13-speed platform, available in both 1X and 2X configurations for road, allroad & gravel is proof that Campagnolo continues to lead, not follow. The decision to scale back investment in pro-tour team sponsorships was not a retreat: it was a deliberate offensive move, redirecting resources towards product development and the new generation of the Super Record Wireless groupset, which Campagnolo believes to be the most technically advanced drivetrain on the market today. The French Cofidis team remains together with a number of other elite athletes an integral part of our innovation lab.

Over more than 90 years, Campagnolo has filed more patents and contributed to victories in more of the world's most prestigious races than any other brand in the sector. That legacy is not a burden it is the foundation for everything that comes next.

"Campagnolo is an extraordinary brand one that has been part of my life and my family's Story for as long as I can remember. I climbed the Passo Spluga with my father at 14, on my first bike built with Campagnolo. Years later I made the same climb with my son at 12 and my father riding alongside us at 80. Every single one of us, on an Italian bike, with Campagnolo. I have bought every product this company has ever made over the past 40 years. I know every groupset, every design decision, every detail. That's why I can say, with full conviction and without any rhetoric: Campagnolo is a sound, healthy, highly capitalised company with manufacturing automation among the most advanced in the industry.

"The post-Covid crisis touched everyone but it has not shaken the foundations or the ambition of this house.

"Stepping back from pro-tour team investment was a deliberate choice, every resourcefreed has been redirected into product development, into the new chapter of Super Record 13, the flagship of the 13 Platform, which we believe is the most capable drivetrain available on the market today.

"I accepted this role and this challenge with great humility, fully aware of the responsibility I Carry towards our partners, and above all towards our colleagues who have given so much of themselves to build this extraordinary story. I am honoured to help write the next chapter.

"I am proud to be Italian, and proud to do it for a brand that represents the very best this country has to offer the world.

"To every Campagnolo enthusiast out there: the next time you're considering a new bicycle, look at our platform first. You won't regret it."
