Blackout BMX, home of Kink Bikes, and Cinema and Mission parts brands, announces the addition of industry veteran Scott Towne to the team. Scott's new role as Sales Manager comes with a long pedigree of involvement with BMX and action sports brands, going back decades. From retail and BMX media experience, to sales and marketing roles with a variety of prominent brands, Scott brings much to the table at Blackout. "I'm a BMX rider, enthusiast, and super fan to the core. The BMX industry, as fickle as it may be, is my comfort zone and the Blackout brands are leaders in the category." Towne said. Blackout Distribution founder and CEO Zack Phillips added: "I am very excited to be working with Scott. He brings expansive knowledge and passion to the Blackout team." Towne summarizes the position: "This is the role I've been working toward my whole life (intentionally or not) and I'm grateful for the opportunity to work with these respected brands in the field I know best." Towne will be leading the team into the season with a Blackout-hosted dealer event at Ray's MTB park on 1/17, as well as attending both CABDA Midwest and West dealer events with the Blackout crew.
