Orlando, FL — Catrike, a leading U.S. manufacturer of premium recumbent trikes, has appointed Mark Egeland as Chief Executive Officer.
A partner since 2007 and General Manager since 2014, Egeland has played a pivotal role in guiding the company’s strategy, operations, and brand development.
“Over the past 25 years, Catrike has built a reputation for design excellence, innovation, world-class manufacturing, and community involvement,” said Egeland. “I’m honored to lead this team as we expand U.S. manufacturing, strengthen our dealer network, and introduce exciting new products.”
As CEO, Egeland will continue to oversee all departments of the company while guiding its long-term vision and strategy to ensure profitability and growth while maintaining Catrike’s commitment to producing high-performance trikes built in the United States.
“Mark has proven himself across every facet of the business,” said Paulo Camasmie, Catrike founder and chairman. “He embodies our values of integrity and generosity, and his ability to build high-performing teams made this decision an easy one.”
Camasmie, who holds a robotics degree from Carnegie Mellon University, is focusing on his new venture, Symbol Robotics.
Catrike’s Orlando-based factory manufactures nine standard models, eight Bosch-equipped eCAT electric-assist models, and an eKIT for retrofitting Catrikes from 2005 to current models. With nearly 250 independent dealers worldwide, the company’s dealer-centric approach fosters strong community engagement and exceptional customer service.
