Seven's manufacturing system has the versatility to build thousands of distinct bike designs starting at $5,995
Watertown, MA — Today, Seven Cycles launched a full line of titanium bikes using an unusual framebuilding method that enables them to build bikes to order in thousands of predetermined configurations. Choose your bike model, tire size, parts kit, rider fit, and more. Complete bikes start at $5,995 and are delivered within 3 to 5 weeks.
Seven's Rider-Ready bikes offer the benefits of frame customization -- including tailored ride tuning, optimized bike performance, individualized options, and perfect rider fit -- without the additional cost, time, and complexity typically associated with designing custom bikes. Seven offers 16 Rider-ReadyTM bike models -- including gravel, allroad, road, adventure, hardtails, bikepacking, and more. Each frame is machined, welded, and finished at Seven's Massachusetts factory.
Rob Vandermark, Seven's founder, said this about the project's development: "A year ago, we launched a few Rider-Ready bike models to see if it would be something riders wanted. They did. The project has been so successful that we've expanded it to include most bike categories while maintaining streamlined build times."
As a pioneer in custom frame manufacturing, maintaining ideal rider fit was one of the project's goals. To that end, most Rider-Ready Sevens come in 36 frame sizes (stack and reach combinations). 36 sizes mean 6 times more fit options than the typical 4 to 7 sizes offered by popular stock carbon bikes. Seven achieves this increase with three stack height categories Seven calls: Endurance, Standard, and Aero fit. Each of these fits is available in 12 top tube lengths.
Most Rider-Ready bikes have 8 to 14 parts kit choices per model from Shimano and SRAM and numerous component options and upgrades from Industry Nine, HED, Chris King, ENVE, and others.
Stef Adams, Seven's Lead Rider-Ready Designer, said, "We've made choosing the right model, size, performance, and options easy. With just a few clicks on our online order system you can be riding your own unique Seven in just three weeks."
Lead times vary with the seasons. The current build time is 3 to 5 weeks and is determined by the parts kit choices.
Complete Rider-Ready titanium bikes are competitively priced compared to performance carbon bikes and start at $5,995.
