(Atlanta, January 2024) – Wahoo Fitness, the leading fitness technology company for endurance athletes, announces that a host of products in the Wahoo ecosystem are now eligible for purchase using Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) on wahoofitness.com. This extends to all products in the KICKR range - which includes indoor Smart Bikes, Smart Trainers and the innovative new KICKR RUN treadmill, along with heart rate monitors and RPM sensors.
By purchasing Wahoo products with HSA/FSA funds, US based customers may be eligible to save up to 30% based on their tax bracket - by using pre-tax dollars and leveraging pre-tax savings which will lower the overall cost of each eligible purchase.
This new payment option, made possible through a partnership with Truemed, simplifies the process, making HSA/FSA-qualified purchases as seamless as any other online shopping experience.
How It Works:
Through Truemed's integration with wahoofitness.com, customers can complete HSA/FSA-eligible purchases in three simple steps:
- Select Payment Method: At checkout, choose "Pay with HSA/FSA funds."
- Health Survey: Complete a brief health survey on the Truemed website.
- Finalise Purchase: Enter an HSA/FSA card or another payment method to complete checkout. A licensed medical provider reviews responses and issues a Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN) if eligible. If using a credit or debit card, customers can request reimbursement from their HSA/FSA.
Gareth Joyce, CEO of Wahoo Fitness, said: "We're thrilled to offer this new integration, expanding access to our products for endurance athletes who want to invest in their fitness and health. At Wahoo, we are committed to removing barriers to better training, and this partnership with Truemed is another step toward achieving that goal and helping to build the better athlete in all of us."
