PeopleForBikes, a leading bicycle advocacy organization, is excited to announce a new virtual education series: the Better Bike Advocacy Workshops. The three-part series is specifically designed for individuals who are passionate about bicycling and want to transform their community through more and better places to ride a bike.
“Communities build great places to ride a bike thanks to extraordinary local advocates,” said Martina Haggerty, vice president of infrastructure at PeopleForBikes. “Whether you’re a government official, member of the bike industry, community leader, business owner, or just someone who enjoys riding a bike — everyone can be a champion for safe, fun, and connected places to ride in their backyard. Through our Better Bike Advocacy Workshops, PeopleForBikes provides you with the tools to advance bike infrastructure in an effective way.”
Featuring presentations from leading experts and facilitated breakout discussions, attendees will leave the workshops equipped with an understanding of effective bike advocacy strategies, actionable lessons from successful advocacy efforts from across the country, a network of support, and the confidence to make a difference in their communities.
