(Gettysburg, PA – July 23, 2024)—Gran Fondo National Series today announced that PeopleForBikes will be the organization's Advocacy and Philanthropy Partner for 2024 and beyond. Series participants will have opportunities to donate to PeopleForBikes initiatives, and the two organizations intend to work together to raise awareness of the importance of investing in safe places to ride and the Great Bike Infrastructure Project.

PeopleForBikes focuses on three areas of influence—infrastructure, policy, and participation—to accelerate the construction of safe, fun, and connected places to bike, advance pro-bike and pro-bike-business legislation, reduce barriers to access, and welcome more people to the joys of bicycling.

Gran Fondo National Series' mission and values align with PeopleForBikes' areas of influence. Gran Fondo National Series and its Partner-Events organize road cycling events in multiple states and work closely with local communities to promote cycling as a safe and healthy sport, as well as to promote the economic benefits cycling events bring to host communities.

"PeopleForBikes' advocacy work has never been more important," said Gran Fondo National Series Founder and Event Director, Reuben Kline. "The future of road cycling events depends on access to safe cycling infrastructure, and that's what PeopleForBikes is fighting for. Our mission has always been to share cycling by welcoming more people into the sport, this is also a central mission for PeopleForBikes."

"Event series like the Gran Fondo National Series are vital to inspiring more participation in cycling in the United States," Ravi Rajcoomar, Vice President, Business Network at PeopleForBikes. "Safe cycling infrastructure benefits everyone—from kids riding to school and adults commuting to work, to individuals riding for fitness and competition. We are proud to collaborate with Reuben and the Gran Fondo National Series to promote cycling and highlight the critical role of PeopleForBikes' Great Bike Infrastructure Project. This initiative invests in communities across the U.S., creating safer and more connected places to bike for people of all ages and abilities."
