State College, PA (04 April 2024) – Stan's, pioneering cycling performance products brand, announces that it has appointed Jeff Lockwood to the role of Director of Global Marketing.

In his new position, Lockwood will lead brand strategy and identity; product, channel and performance marketing; as well as communications and public relations.

“I’ve long been a believer in, and user of, Stan’s products since the brand launched nearly twenty-five years ago - I get it. Leading and expanding the company’s marketing and branding efforts is a great opportunity I very much look forward to,” explains Lockwood.

Lockwood arrives at Stan’s after a seven-year stretch as International Marketing Manager for iconic bicycle and component brand Ritchey. In that position based in Switzerland, Lockwood was responsible for managing all marketing, branding, media, and content activities for the brand outside the United States.

"Jeff brings extensive industry experience, an organized and creative approach to marketing and branding, and a proven track record with some storied brands. I am thrilled to welcome Jeff to the team, and I look forward to his contributions in all the exciting things we have going on this year and for the foreseeable future," says Mike Bush, Stan’s President.

Lockwood began his journey in the bicycle world at Dirt Rag mountain bike magazine. Following that, he spent several years in the industry as a marketing and branding consultant, as well as an editor and writer for various media outlets around the world. At various points he’s worked for, or collaborated with, brands such as Pivot Cycles/BH Bikes USA, Bontrager, and others. Additionally, Lockwood operated a boutique marketing and web design agency catering mostly to brands in the cycling space. And in 2014 he was the founding editor of grit.cx, a gravel and cyclocross magazine in the United Kingdom.
