Wren Sports, the U.S. based supplier of Wren inverted suspension forks and high end bike parts, has appointed Richard Hurst as the managing director of their European operation.
Hurst has been tasked with setting up a distributor network across Europe to expand sales of the entire Wren Sports product line.
Wren Sports is already working with several European OEM eBike manufacturers and has developed a specific cargo bike fork to support the goal of increased Micro-mobility in cities.
Kevin Wren said, “Richard has been our exclusive distributor via his Podium Sports brand in the UK for the past two years, and the success and growth of Wren sales in the UK makes him the perfect person to drive our expansion across the rest of Europe.
“We remain a boutique brand for customers who want top quality products, made with care that have been tested in the harshest of conditions and Richard will be making these products available across Europe.”
“Richard has also demonstrated his commitment to Wren Sports by becoming a shareholder alongside Kozo Shimano and our other strategic partners.”
Richard Hurst said, “The growth in UK sales of Wren products over the past two years has been remarkable. More and more riders are switched onto the benefits of inverted suspension forks and appreciate the quality of our carbon handlebars and ancillary products such as the lowest weight ISO certified stems.
“This is an exciting new chapter of growth for the company and I will be looking to find partners across Europe with the right passion to take our products into their home markets.”
