Prevelo Bikes, with 169% growth, Ranks No. 3071 Among America’s Fastest-Growing Private Companies

(NEW YORK) August 15, 2023 – Business media outlet, Inc. revealed today that Prevelo Bikes, a family-owned brand of high performance kids’ bikes, ranks No. 3071 on the 2023 Inc. 5000 - the publication’s annual list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. The prestigious ranking provides a data-driven look at the most successful companies within the economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent, entrepreneurial businesses. Past honorees include Facebook, Chobani, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other household name brands.

“Everyone here at Prevelo drives towards excellence in everything we do. We are dedicated to making the best high-performance bikes for kids and delivering the best bicycle buying experience possible,” said Prevelo founder and owner, Jacob Rheuban. “This recognition is humbling and flattering, and is an effect of the hard work and dedication of our small, but passionate team of bicycle professionals. I’m fortunate to work with this extraordinary team. I am also grateful for our amazing customers who not only make our dream business possible, but make me smile everyday with pictures of their families enjoying life on Prevelo bikes.”

Prevelo’s 169% growth from 2019 to 2022 earned the bike brand the Inc. accolade. Now in 2023, the California-based brand is growing 13% year-over-year in an economic environment that is challenging many businesses in the category.

“I’m grateful that we continue to grow, especially in this weird economy,” said Rheuban. “I can’t credibly claim to know exactly why this is happening, but I credit it to parents who, faced with an inundation of electronics demanding their kids’ attention, want to provide their children with outstanding outdoor and active experiences.”

The Inc. 5000 class of 2023 represents companies that have driven rapid revenue growth while navigating inflationary pressure, the rising costs of capital, and seemingly intractable hiring challenges.

“Running a business has only gotten harder since the end of the pandemic,” says Inc. editor-in-chief Scott Omelianuk. “To make the Inc. 5000—with the fast growth that requires—is truly an accomplishment. Inc. is thrilled to honor the companies that are building our future.”
