BOULDER, COLO. (Feb. 24, 2023) — PeopleForBikes, a national bicycling advocacy organization and the U.S. bicycle industry’s trade association, is delighted to welcome Katie Bolling as the organization’s new director of philanthropy. A long-time member of the bike industry, Bolling arrives at PeopleForBikes after serving as VP of sales for the luxury bike tour company inGamba. Previously, she worked at World Bicycle Relief for 10 years as the development director and later the business development director.

“As a lover of both people and bikes, I’m incredibly excited for the opportunity to bring them together in a very meaningful role,” said Bolling “After spending a decade building the fundraising program at World Bicycle Relief, I look forward to bringing my passion and energy to PeopleForBikes to take a fresh look at how we can engage and turn the PeopleForBikes supporter base into an awesome community of fundraisers connected by a passion to make biking better for everyone.”

Bolling will lead PeopleForBikes’ fundraising efforts, drawing on years of experience building relationships, sharing organizational values, and telling impact stories demonstrating the power of generosity.

“We know Katie well and have been an admirer of her's for many years. She did such critical work at World Bicycle Relief to grow an empowered and engaged community of partners,” said Jenn Dice, president and CEO of PeopleForBikes. “Not only that, she also knows how to build bridges to other leaders, outside the bike industry, that care about making a better world through bikes. We’re excited to have Katie join our team and build and execute a development strategy to expand and scale our mission driven work.”

Bolling’s primary focus will be developing a fundraising network both in and outside the world of bicycling for PeopleForBikes’ upcoming nationwide campaign to accelerate the construction of safe and connected bike infrastructure in cities from coast to coast. She will also work to grow the number of in-person meetings and events with past and potential donors across the country.

Bolling began her new role on February 21, 2023, and can be reached at katie@peopleforbikes.org.
