The Symphony and Genius Series lead collection of technical backpacks and hip packs
VAIL, Colo. — Advenate, the award-winning innovator in backpacks and outdoor equipment is proud to announce the establishment of its new North American subsidiary based in Vail, Colo. Advenate was established in 2016 with the introduction of a small, yet highly technical and advanced collection of alpine avalanche and backcountry gear. Their unique products such as the Integrated Avalanche System® (IAS) airbag pack series was a 2017 ISPO Brand “New Award” Finalist, followed by a 2018 ISPO “Gold Medal” Award for the Hybrid/Hybrid Pro System® and the 2021 ISPO “Gold Medal” Award for the forthcoming My.One® Functional Clothing program.
Advenate has retained Colorado-based Barry Levinson as its Managing Director of North American Operations. Barry, who founded Club A by Torstai’s US operations, SRD/Ski Racing Development, SYNC Performance and introduced POC to the US Market as well as having stints with Spyder and Parajumpers, brings a history of brand building and operational experience.
“One of our essential beliefs at Advenate is ‘Inspired by Nature,'” says Barry Levinson, “We want to build products that will last a lifetime and have deep core credibility. Our very name, Advenate combines these beliefs: ADVENTURE. INNOVATION. NATURE.” These beliefs combined with a strong environmental and eco-friendly ethos have convinced us that current sustainability concepts do not go far enough. Many of our materials and fabrics are sourced in Europe and are bluesign® certified. “This is the only way we can effectively minimize our carbon footprint and really guarantee ongoing sustainability along the entire production and lifecycle chain.”
“With the Symphony Series we haven’t just created just another new backpack. We wanted to do a whole lot more. And ended up with a unique product that not only adapts perfectly to its wearer, but to their tour as well. This symbiosis of comfort and flexibility is what makes Symphony so special,” noted company Founder Matthias Werz. “We have already brought several very significant innovations to the outdoor market in Europe that have been very well-received and this collection is just a small indication of the new technologies we will soon be unveiling.”
