MILWAUKEE – The Wisconsin Bike Fed announces its annual fall fundraising gala, Beer Bikes Bids, on Saturday, November 12, 2022.
The annual celebration of all things cycling will take place from 6-10 p.m. at Trek Bicycle Corporation’s newly remodeled headquarters in Waterloo, Wisconsin. This rare opportunity to go behind the scenes at Trek includes complimentary food and drink, onsite live auction, raffle for a Trek Travel Trip, online silent auction, and an epic scavenger hunt.
“It may be a gala, but no need to get too formal,” shares Executive Director Kirsten Finn. “Come as you are and have a great time talking bikes. We are so grateful to Trek for sharing their amazing space for the event, and to our guests and auction bidders for supporting the Bike Fed’s vision of making Wisconsin an even better place to ride a bicycle!”
To help guests enjoy the festivities responsibly, party bus shuttles will be available from Milwaukee and Madison to Waterloo. Guests may also make a weekend of it and stay at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites in Madison with a special Bike Fed Gala room rate. Details on the accommodations and shuttle tickets can be found on the event homepage.
Since not everyone can make the trek to Waterloo, silent auction bidding will take place exclusively online for two weeks beginning Saturday, October 29th. A preview of silent auction items is currently available, with new items being added daily. The online silent auction closes at midnight on November 11, 2022. Additional silent and live auction donations that promote Wisconsin businesses and organizations are appreciated, and donors will receive recognition online and on event signage.

About the Wisconsin Bike Fed
The Bicycle Federation of Wisconsin Educational Foundation, Inc. (AKA Wisconsin Bike Fed) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that cultivates, motivates, and unites residents, communities, businesses, and political leaders to move bicycling forward in Wisconsin through education, legislation, and involvement. The Wisconsin Bike Fed is the only statewide organization that advocates for better bicycling for everyone who rides a bike in Wisconsin, with thousands of individuals, families, organizations, and communities who support our work to:
● Advocate for cycling, including having the governor prioritize transportation access and environmental concerns in the 2021-23 biennial budget, and previously having bike shops deemed essential businesses during the pandemic.
● Provide programs to make bicycling safer and more accessible across the state, particularly in the state’s most populous urban communities of Milwaukee and Madison.
● Promote Wisconsin as an economic engine for cycling, highlighting scenic trails and emphasizing the many large and small businesses that support bicycling as direct producers, repairers or vendors of bikes and related accessories, as well as the hospitality industry that benefits from cycling. According to the most recent impact study released by the governor’s office in 2020, consumers spent $1.42 billion in 2017 on direct bicycle-related expenditures, bringing funds into our businesses and state budget.
