BOULDER, CO – Cycling Coaching & Digital Training company FasCat Coaching hired longtime cycling journalist Ben Delaney as its director of content. Delaney will be producing podcasts, writing stories and tips, creating video, and connecting on social media with athletes around the world.

Delaney will also help launch the forthcoming Optimize app, which simplifies complex, data-rich training equations so riders can focus on unique actionable insights.

“Ben has always been a great storyteller, and he understands our athletes perfectly because he’s one of them,” said FasCat Coaching founder Frank Overton. “Everyone at FasCat is excited to have him on the team to share the stories from our coaches and riders.”

Delaney has worked in cycling media since 2000, covering professional athletes and gear all over the world in stories, photos, podcasts and videos. He has served as a lead editor at VeloNews and BikeRadar, and also worked for other titles like Cyclingnews, Peloton, Outside, and CyclingTips.

“I’m excited to join Frank and the team at FasCat,” Delaney said. “FasCat revolutionized cycling training with the introduction of Sweet Spot training years ago, and the company is still leading from the front with the new Optimize app.”

Delaney lives in Boulder, Colorado, home to FasCat’s headquarters and some of the best bike riding in the world.
