BMX is the core pillar upon which the iconic GT brand's 50-year legacy was built, and it has been exciting to watch this important part of our business evolve over the years. Since joining GT in 2014, Ben Ward, GT BMX Product Manager, has created an impressive range of race, freestyle, heritage and crossover bikes as well as complimentary parts and accessories assortment that have been very well received by riders and in all retail channels. The brand is committed to supporting our growing collective of shops and riders and in doing so, the GT Global Marketing team is growing as well. Today, we are proud to share that Jeff Zielinski, BMX industry legend, and all around great human, will be officially joining the GT family as BMX Team Manager and Content Producer.

For those of you whom have not yet had the privilege to meet Jeff, we thought it would make sense to hear from Jeff himself:

My name is Jeff Zielinski and I'm a BMX lifer. I began dusting myself off and trying again over 30 years ago, and photography followed shortly after. I've always considered myself blessed to turn the marriage of my two labors of love into what I do as a career. Just like BMX, my day-to-day / job description has evolved a lot over the years, and I've continued to adapt and progress along with it. I cut my teeth in the BMX industry as a photographer and Associate Editor for RideBMX magazine. With a skeleton crew, I wore many hats during my tenure at RideBMX, honing the skills and gaining the experience that helped me land where I am today, as the Team Manager and Content Creator for the GT BMX Freestyle team. I work with one of my dearest friends and surround myself with an incredible group of individuals I'm proud to call the GT team.

When not answering the beck and call of the 4130, I cherish the time with my wife and daughter. I was born and raised in New Jersey, but I call Long Beach, California home. The soundtrack to my life would comprise of the Dischord Records discography. I've been a vegan for more than half of my life, but I never preach, only inform. I try to approach every situation with an open mind, and I pride myself on being loyal, reliable, and sincere. I'm here for a good time and a long time.
