USA Cycling hires Erika Lehman to helm new initiatives designed to better service established cyclists as well as enthusiasts and new riders just discovering the sport.

8 December 2021 (COLORADO SPRINGS, CO) - USA Cycling announces today that Erika Lehman will take on the Chief Marketing Officer role in the Colorado Springs office. Coming off a successful growth-focused leadership role at US Figure Skating, Lehman is poised to deliver new value to existing members, to expand USA Cycling’s reach in the rider community, and focus on new opportunities across USA Cycling’s development programs.

Lehman, a MBA graduate from the University of New Hampshire, has an established track record of growing membership at a governing body, leveraging data-driven marketing solutions to bring more people into the sport and determine new ways of developing revenue that contributes to the mission, vision, and purpose of the organization.

“USA Cycling is a 100-year old organization and, while we have much to celebrate, we also know the value of an outside perspective,” says Rob DeMartini, USA Cycling’s CEO. “With Erika, we know she can bring a wealth of new ideas and experience to deliver stronger value for members and in turn, get more people on bikes leading more active lives.“

“I believe in the power of sport to make the world a better place,” says Lehman. “Regardless of discipline, I’m committed to making sport more accessible, more intriguing, and more rewarding to as many people as possible.”

Lehman will be based in the Colorado Springs office, starting in mid-December of 2021
