Quality Bicycle Products is now accepting applications for its Community Grant program, which provides key funding for retailer-led initiatives that support increasing bicycle ridership among diverse and/or underserved populations, youth ridership, or educational programs.

The Q Community Grant program has awarded more than $150k since its inception in 2018, for projects ranging from bike mechanic classes, to outreach events, to youth programming. Grants are awarded to projects throughout North America, each administered through a specialty bike retailer who participates in Q's Dealer's Choice.

"Community Grant is great because it empowers retailers to make a positive difference in their area for people who will benefit from it the most," said Seth Nesselhuf, Q Community Grant Director.

The $100k grant pool for 2021 is made possible from the donations of participating Dealer's Choice brands and Q. Individual award amounts will vary based on the number of selected projects and project scale.

Any US or Canadian retailer who is enrolled in Dealer's Choice can apply for the 2021 Community Grant. Retailers who are not currently enrolled in Dealer's Choice can become eligible by applying for the grant and enrolling in Dealer's Choice concurrently. Applications are due March 8, 2021, with winners being announced in April. All projects will be completed within 12 months of the grants being awarded.
