Klimat's weather condition integration tool incorporates weather and air quality into growing list of fitness apps and devices

BOSTON - Sept. 21, 2020 - PRLog -- Klimat, an app that incorporates real-time weather updates into athletic tracking apps, announced today that the app is now compatible with the Nolio training platform as well as Suunto's sports devices.

Nolio (www.nolio.io) is a French-based software platform for training monitoring, planning, and analysis. The platform supports athletic activities including downhill and cross country skiing, cycling, running, hiking, bodybuilding, swimming, and other fitness exercises and sports.

Suunto (www.suunto.com) creates innovative sports watches, dive computers, and other instruments used by outdoor adventurers. The Finnish company is a part of Amer Sports along with sister brands Salomon, Arc'teryx, Peak Performance, Atomic, Wilson and Precor.

Klimat incorporates weather, air quality, and other at-a-glance information about outdoor conditions relevant to outdoor sports enthusiasts. The app automatically populates current weather information for any global location into users' fitness app training logs for activities like runs, bicycle rides, cross country and downhill ski outings, hiking adventures and more.

The app was founded with initial support for the social fitness app Strava. In response to customer demand, the company later added support for the Under Armour Connected Fitness line of MapMyFitness apps (MapMyRun, MapMyRide, and MapMyWalk) and bike ride planning, navigating, and sharing app Ride with GPS.

By connecting Klimat with a supported app, users can receive automated updates about outdoor temperature, humidity, wind speed and direction, air quality data from AirVisual, and more. They can also customize the data they want to see and in what format, create their own labels, add emojis, and choose their preferred language.

"We're so pleased to be able to introduce functionality with Suunto and Nolio, two companies respected and beloved by fitness enthusiasts around the world," said Scott Ferguson, developer of Klimat. "In the midst of turbulent global events this year and at a time when fitness and health are more important than ever, we wanted to give athletes a wider range of options for accessing our popular climate tagging app."

In addition to incorporating compatibility with Suunto and Nolio, users can now download their weather details from Klimat.
