In November 2019, a strategic partnership with Murtfeldt Kunststoff GmbH from Dortmund was established. Now the management team is being expanded.

Carbovation GmbH, to which the Lightweight brand also belongs, was able to win Carsten Krumm as new managing director. He will be working for the company from April 2020 and will now form the new management together with Andres Wissler and Andreas Balla. Carsten Krumm will take over the chairmanship of the management board and join the circle of shareholders as a shareholder.

"We are sure that we will benefit from his in-depth knowledge as an experienced manager with an international reputation and wish him every success in his new role," said Andreas Wissler.

Most recently, Carsten Krumm worked as a consultant and interim manager, but he also brings a wealth of experience as a member of the board (WILO SE) and managing director of group companies. "I am very much looking forward to working in this exciting business area, to bringing the Lightweight brand back to its former strength and to further expanding the industrial sector," says Krumm.

The recently turbulent times for Lightweight came to an end with promising future prospects in November 2019 thanks to the strategic partnership with the Murtfeldt Group. In addition to the continued employment of the employees, the company was also able to maintain and expand its expertise in carbon lightweight construction.
