Penticton, BC (May 16, 2019) – Swagman, a leading provider of sports cargo management announced today the release of a new Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy.
Swagman is proud to announce a revised MAP policy. "In an effort to provide a better retail landscape to all sales channels, we had to review and improve our current policy," said Vincent Gauthier, Ecommerce & Marketing Director.
This new policy recognizes that the market has evolved to offer consumers multiple purchase channels and will benefit all of Swagman's dealers.
As part of this policy, any retailer wanting to sell online will now need to fill an Authorization form to request approval for online sale. Current online retailers will also need to fill the Authorization form.
Swagman will also release a revised price list. "We are doing this in order to improve dealer margin and to reposition some product more competitively," said Dave Michael, Director of Sales.
Current retail, wholesale and MAP pricing are effective until June 1, 2019, while the policy and Online Retailer Authorization will be rolled out immediately. The revised pricing (wholesale, retail and MAP) will be effective and enforced starting June 1, 2019. This will allow Swagman retailers enough time to prepare for the changes.
With the recent addition of a distribution center in California, Swagman is taking another step forward to improve their support to all retailers across USA and Canada.
