Annual award celebrates entrepreneurial excellence in the outdoors industry

Durango, CO – April 24, 2019 –  Tailwind Nutrition is proud to announce that it has been selected as a finalist for the prestigious Wright Awards, hosted by Denver-based Something Independent. Tailwind made the cut from over 125 companies to join twelve others in the running for the award. The thirteen finalists were selected for their representation of outdoor culture and the entrepreneurial spirit in the Rocky Mountain states. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in Golden, Colorado on May 2, 2019.

“It’s an honor being selected as a finalist for this award,” says Jenny Vierling, co-founder of Tailwind Nutrition. “As entrepreneurs and outdoor enthusiasts, we’re humbled to be included with a group of companies who are at the forefront of thinking outside the box and have all done so much for the outdoors industry in Colorado and beyond.”

Founded in Durango, CO by endurance athletes, Tailwind Nutrition’s product line-up includes the original Endurance Fuel, a simple-to-use drink mix that replenishes calories and electrolytes and hydrates, and Rebuild Recovery, the first sports recovery drink based on a patent-pending perfectly complete protein. All of Tailwind’s products are made in Durango, Colorado and are free of artificial ingredients and common allergens like soy, dairy and gluten, and are non-GMO.

The Wright Awards are hosted by Denver-based Something Independent, a company whose focus is to celebrate the industry and the culture of the outdoors. The Wright Awards cap off a three-day conference showcasing outdoor-inspired founders and companies. The summit, which begins April 29, will feature a three-part series of keynote speakers as well as a dozen panel discussions, all free and open to the public. The Wright culminates with the awards ceremony the night of May 2.
