BOSTON (BRAIN) — Stromer is recalling about 1,300 Stromer ST1 women's and men's e-bikes, models M33 Elite and P48 Platinum, because the fork can break during use. The company has received one report of a fork breaking, resulting in minor scrapes and bruises to the rider.

SAN FRANCISCO (BRAIN) — Strava has made a major update to its mobile app, making it more social and combining its running and cycling apps into one app.

The app is now available in 11 languages, with the addition of Dutch, Japanese, Korean, Russian and Traditional Chinese.

PETALUMA, Calif. (BRAIN) – Yuba Bicycles has updated its Boda Boda cargo bike for 2014 and created new accessories for carrying children, adult passengers, groceries or a surfboard.

The new Boda Boda will be available for purchase in April for $995 retail.

CHICAGO (BRAIN) — SRAM on Tuesday released details of its Force CX1 group, a single-chainring cyclocross racing parts kit that borrows technology from its single-chainring mountain bike groups. Several SRAM-sponsored racers were spotted using the group during the 2013-2014 cyclocross season.

The company said the saddle is designed to give increased rear tire clearance on full suspension 650b bikes, and was inspired by Pivot Cycles' president and founder, Chris Cocalis.
