CHICAGO (BRAIN) — Organizers of next week's CABDA East trade show say the event will be held as scheduled with some new precautions because of the COVID-19 outbreak.

The event will be held at the Meadowlands convention center in Secaucus, New Jersey.

TAIPEI, Taiwan (BRAIN) — Next month's Taipei Cycle Show will be held as scheduled, organizers announced, but visitors and exhibitors from mainland China will not be welcome. Organizers also said all workers at the show will be required to wear face masks.

BELLINGHAM, Wash. (BRAIN) — Jack DeVries, a veteran Bellingham retailer and collector of all things bicycling, died Tuesday, Sept. 11. He was 83.

A onetime bicycle newspaper delivery boy, DeVries began his career in the bike industry working for Times Bicycle Shop in Bellingham in 1950 at age 16. In 1969, he opened his own shop in town, Jack’s Bicycle Center. The shop moved to its current location in 1995.
