Bicycle Tool Engineer

Mechanical Engineer
Park Tool Company, the world’s largest manufacturer of specialty tools and repair equipment for the bicycle industry is searching for an experienced, creative, innovative candidate to join our engineering team at our world headquarters in Oakdale, Minnesota. We’re constantly designing, refining, testing, updating, developing and manufacturing new tools and repair equipment for the bicycle industry, and we need more help. Essential Duties:
•Participate in new product development as a member of a design team
•Creation from concept to production of tools and repair equipment to be sold worldwide
•Assist in standard product support duties, such as:
•Troubleshooting product problems in manufacturing and/or customer sites
•Updating part documentation
•Identification and implementation of part and/or assembly cost reductions
•Responding to warranty trend concerns from customer service
•Perform quality control tasks as needed for inspection on finished and in-process parts and assemblies
•Produce designs and maintain documentation for new and existing products
•Produce prototypes, test samples and production fixtures as needed
•Design analysis as needed
•2D & 3D CAD data translation
•Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:
•BS degree in mechanical engineering or related field
•3+ years in mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering experience preferred
•CAD experience, Solidworks preferred
•Knowledge of various manufacturing processes
•Good oral and written communication skills
•High level mechanical/engineering/technical aptitude
•Bicycle industry experience and/or enthusiasm
•Self-starter and problem solver with the ability to work both alone and with a team
