NBDA releases list of America's Best Bike Shops

Published August 21, 2015

COSTA MESA, Calif. (BRAIN) — The National Bicycle Dealers Association has released its third annual list of America's Best Bike Shops.

The dealers' association chooses the top shops from among applicants, who are awarded points based on their application and the results of a visit by an anonymous "mystery shopper." Applicants must be independent bicycle stores with a physical store open to the public that sells bicycles, parts, accessories, and has a service department. Half of a store's total sales must be related to bicycles, and be from a physical store location.

The online application asks shop owners to explain what sets them apart from the competition, how they develop customer loyalty, and what they are doing to make their corner of the globe more bicycle friendly.

This year's award winners are invited to an evening celebration on Sept. 16, immediately following Interbike's close for the day. The private event is being held at the 1923 Bourbon Bar located in the Mandalay Bay Hotel. Invitations have been sent, and RSVP's will be limited to 2015 America's Best Bike Shops and this year's sponsors.
