COSTA MESA, Calif. (BRAIN) —  Todd Grant will join the National Bicycle Dealers Association as its new executive director on Sept. 1.

Grant is a former vice president of sales at Niner Bikes, the former director of brand management and director of sales at Pearl Izumi, and a former regional sales manager at Raleigh America. Earlier, he worked in bicycle retail as regional manager for Bicycle Village, and service and operations manager for University Bicycles in Boulder, Colo.

"I am excited about joining the NBDA at this critical time for bicycle dealers," Grant said. "The bicycle business is evolving rapidly, and my goal is to help the NBDA be a relevant, dynamic, and leading resource for all dealers, and an influential force for serving the best interests of all independent bicycle dealers nationwide."

"Grant's varied experience across all industry segments made him an excellent candidate. His references were outstanding and his analytical and quantitative skills exceptional," the NBDA said in a statement Thursday.

Grant studied at the University of Maine and the University of New Hampshire, and received a law degree from the University of Colorado. He was chosen as executive director after an extensive nationwide search coordinated by the Colorado-based search firm T. Malouf & Associates.
