Endurance House opens third store, first in the West

Published October 15, 2013

WESTMINSTER, CO (BRAIN) — Specialty retailer Endurance House has opened its third store, and first in the western U.S. The Colorado location joins the company’s two stores in Wisconsin.

Jim Wnorowski, operator of the new store, is also a veteran of marathons and triathlons. “I love this area. It’s very healthy and health-oriented. The sun is out nearly every day. The climate is incredibly beneficial to training and being outside, so people are active even if they’re not training for a competition,” he said. “But a lot of them are, whether it’s for a 5K or their next tri, because there are so many events going on out here.”

Endurance House is a growing chain of retail stores catering to triathlon, iron distance triathlon and marathon competitors, as well as runners and walkers of all abilities. Jamie and Tara Osborn founded the company in 2006 in Madison, Wisc. A fourth store will open in Oceanside, Calif., later this fall, and three more are slated to open in 2014 in Georgia.

A grand opening celebration was held Oct. 11-13, with prizes including gift cards, gear and training programs. Noted competitors and trainers also gave in-store clinics over the course of the weekend.

Endurance House Westminster's grand opening attracted cycling fans of all ages.
