Lifeboat Events sells PressCamp

Published April 21, 2015

SOLON, Ohio (BRAIN) — Lifeboat Events has sold PressCamp to Ohio-based Efficient Collaborative Retail Marketing, a 21-year-old company that produces trade events in a variety of industries. Lifeboat Events founder Lance Camisasca will join ECRM as vice president of sports, where he will lead sales and marketing efforts for future PressCamp events. Additionally, Chad Battistone of Lifeboat Events will assist the ECRM Sports team as an operations manager.

PressCamps are twice-annual meetings between editors and a limited number of brands from the cycling industry. The summer events have been held in Park City, Utah, since 2009; winter PressCamps have been held in Southern California.

"The success PressCamp events have demonstrated in the cycling industry makes it an ideal addition to the existing events platform of ECRM and meets our objective to develop an enhanced events portfolio in vertical markets," said Greg Farrar, the CEO of ECRM. "This is about growing and serving our customers better. It's about taking the opportunity to enter into markets that we don't currently serve."

Camisasca said, "This is a big day for Lifeboat Events. We knew finding a strategic buyer for PressCamp would be paramount in assuring we could continue to create meaningful and strong events going forward. ECRM has the resources and bandwidth to create additional PressCamps for the cycling industry as well as events for other active lifestyle markets. ECRM's vision for any industry needing intimate, high quality media and brand interactions is invigorating."
