Giro launches Grinduro: a race that combines enduro and gravel grinding

Published April 16, 2015

QUINCY, Calif. (BRAIN) — Giro Sport Design is producing a new event this fall near its California headquarters. The Grinduro is a 60-mile competition on dirt and pavement with elements of gravel road racing and mountain bike enduro competitions. The winners will be determined based on performance over four relatively short timed sections within the course.

The Oct. 10 event is part of a two-day festival; the entry fee is $200, which includes camping, meals and entertainment. The field is limited to 450 riders. Besides Giro, SRAM and the Sierra Buttes Trail Stewardship are sponsors.
