Published July 23, 2013

ANAHEIM, CA (BRAIN) — Cycle Group, Inc. has hired Anthony Thomas as its new mountain bike brand manager. CGI is a Southern Californian-based supplier of aftermarket bicycle components and accessories.

Thomas has extensive experience in the bike industry ranging from time in original equipment frame manufacturing to his most recent position as brand manager at Loaded Precision, Inc. The company said Thomas will use his knowledge and experience to help develop a full line of mountain bike components for CGI under the company’s Promax and BOX Components brand names.

“The exciting thing with our industry is that the momentum of product development is always progressing. I’m very motivated to work alongside industry leading designers to create the absolute best products in the mountain bike industry,” Thomas said. “It’s pretty awesome to be carrying out the vision of a guy like Toby Henderson. He has been a pioneer in our sport for decades,” he added.

Already established in the BMX market, CGI is looking to make headway in mountain biking with the Promax and BOX brands.

“All of us at CGI are quite busy so adding a seasoned mountain biking vet like Anthony is exactly what we need to jump start our next goal,” said Toby Henderson, CGI’s founder and executive director.

CGI has already designed and developed several mountain bike components for Promax, including the S-29 stem. The company plans to unveil more new Promax and BOX mountain bike parts and accessories at Interbike this fall.
