SCOTTS VALLEY, CA (BRAIN) — Longtime Easton-Bell Sports managers Don Palermini and Jeff Titone have left the company as part of multiple job changes at the Bell Helmets and Blackburn brands. The company also has promoted several staffers to new positions and said it is recruiting to fill other positions.

Palermini has been with Easton-Bell Sports since 2000, most recently as director of marketing for Bell and Blackburn. Titone joined Easton-Bell Sports in February 2011 after stints at Titus Bicycles and Cannondale. He was a brand manager. In an e-mail, Titone said he was told his position at Blackburn was being eliminated in an effort to control costs.

Bell Helmets announced three promotions as part of the change-up. Azul Couzens has been promoted from brand manager to director of brand marketing for Bell's bike and powersports divisions. Benny Cruickshank has been promoted to brand manager for the Bell bike division. And on the product side, Carlos Sauceda has been promoted to category director for Bell juvenile and licensed products.

At Blackburn, Robin Sansom takes the dual role of product and brand marketing leadership as category manager for Blackburn.

A company statement said both Blackburn and Bell are "actively recruiting for several key positions to help achieve future growth initiatives." The company also said the "promotions follow an expansion of the brand marketing and product staff that occurred in fall 2012."
