HEERENVEEN, Netherlands (BRAIN) — Accell Group N.V.'s board informed shareholders at a meeting Thursday that it will appoint Ton Anbeek as CEO and chairman of the board of directors, as it previously announced.
Anbeek is the permanent replacement for longtime CEO and chairman Rene Takens, who announced in February that he was retiring. Hielke Sybesma, Accell's CFO, has served as interim CEO since April.
Anbeek officially takes the positions Nov. 1.
Also on Thursday it was announced that Aad Kuiper, a member of the Accell Supervisory Board, will step down because of increased responsibilities at Hunter Douglas. The company will begin a search for a replacement.
