LAKE FOREST, Calif. (BRAIN) — RedMonkey Sports has acquired Zevlin, a bar tape company, adding road and gravel bar tape to its product offerings.

Zevlin, is a Dallas-based company owned and operated by brothers Drew and Brad Hagestad, launched at Interbike in 2012.

"RedMonkey Sports has been looking to enter the road and gravel bike segment of the market for a while now. Given the various products we currently have in development, we felt the acquisition of Zevlin would fit well with our current product offerings and align with our new product road map. We look forward to continuing the development of this product line and integrating our production methodology to further enhance and improve marketwide inline bar tape offerings," said RedMonkey owner Michael Nasco.

RedMonkey Sports, Inc. is a Southern California-based bicycle accessories company whose current product line includes silicone mountain bike grips and tire sealant.
