Published September 5, 2019

DURANGO, Colo. (BRAIN) — In the 100th episode of the Channel Mastery podcast, host Kristin Carpenter talks with Kimo Seymour, who oversees events and media for Life Time, the parent of the Leadville 100 mountain bike race and the Dirty Kanza gravel race. Seymour, who has raced Leadville 12 times and is a former race director of the event, talked with Carpenter about event marketing, community building, and strategic brand partnerships.

"The essence of our discussion revolves around a challenge that all specialty businesses face: how do we focus on profitability without losing the authenticity and the passion that brought us to this field in the first place? Can corporate entities co-exist with homegrown events?" Carpenter said.

This episode of Channel Mastery was produced in partnership with BRAIN.
