Zeal Optics Hires New Marketing Director

Published August 5, 2011

BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—Zeal Optics has hired Joe Prebich at its new marketing director.

Prebich will focus on efforts to revitalize the Zeal Optics brand, broadening the scope of their current goggle market-share and introducing a new line of sunglasses in September with enhanced performance benefits and an increased focus on blending "life" with lifestyle.

Prebich has deep experience in the optical industry, having served most recently as global snow sports marketing manager for Oakley where he orchestrated marketing efforts for their eye wear and goggles businesses around the world. While there, he helped the company organize its efforts around more cohesive athlete-based product programs and produce creative marketing solutions to enhance the company’s global goals, including the launch into the action sports market in China.

Prior to Oakley, Prebich was the athlete marketing manager at Red Bull, where he created initiatives that put the brand at the forefront of the action sports industry. In this position, he forecasted trends, developed global marketing initiatives, and designed programs that helped the brand identify and have a conversation with consumers.
Some of Prebich’s most recognized programs at Red Bull involved working with Olympic snowboarder, Shaun White, and the creation of full-scale marketing, performance and interactive programs that showcased White’s talents, providing him with a training ground and a marketing platform that led to his gold medal run at the 2010 Winter Olympic in Vancouver.
