Ibex to go with Direct Distribution in Canada

Published July 12, 2011

WHITE RIVER JUNCTION, VT (BRAIN)—Ibex Outdoor Clothing will be providing a direct distribution channel beginning with the spring 2012 season.

Ibex will be working directly with its Canadian retailers to fulfill orders and manage accounts. Ibex will ship out of Montreal and orders will be delivered directly to retailers’ doorsteps with no additional costs other than Canadian freight. Ibex will also provide a bilingual
staff for Dealer Service and a B2B site that can be used to check availability and place repeat orders. All of this will be delivered to its Canadian retailers with no additional impact to their margins.

“We feel that a direct relationship with our Canadian retailers will improve our understanding of the market and allow us to provide our retailers with the best products and services,” said Jeff Busic, vice president of sales for Ibex. “This change will provide our Canadian retailers with a broader assortment to buy, increased availability for
repeat orders, and a more direct communication line with Ibex.”

Ibex has also hired Marc Brisebois as a new Ibex sales representative for Ontario. Rob Dickison, Ibex Rep for British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan, and Nathalie Godbout and Isabelle Cordeau, Ibex reps for Quebec, will continue representing Ibex.
