Published March 8, 2011

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA (BRAIN)—Continuing to serve more than 3,700 international visitors, Interbike renewed its ongoing international partnership with Uwe Weissflog, head of inMotion mar.com.

In this role, Weissflog (pictured) will remain a liaison with key members of the international media, help organize Interbike’s new Launchpad area, a show treatment dedicated to showcasing new products, and ensure Interbike continues to maintain a global perspective, according to a press release.

In speaking of his more than 14 years of attending Interbike, in both brand sales and marketing roles, and of his participation in the creation of the European Village, Weissflog calls Interbike, “A second home.”

“For me the spirit, the energy and the diverse initiatives Interbike has taken, and still takes, are proof of a dynamic, relevant show and energetic market," Weissflog said. "In my role with Interbike, I am charged to take this momentum and transfer this energy to the many people I have contact with across the world, namely in Europe and Asia.”

A long-time marketing and PR veteran, Weissflog brings more than 20 years of experience to the Interbike team. He stays well connected to multiple cycling communities by regularly attending cycling events around the world and through his representation of numerous cycling related PR clients, shows, magazines and associations. Weissflog is also an active cyclist and passionate advocate working to proliferate the use of the bicycle world-wide.

“Uwe may attend more trade shows, in more places, than anyone else in the industry,” said Andy Tompkins, Interbike show director. “As part of Interbike’s on-going commitment to increase dialogue with the industry, Uwe will help Interbike hear perspectives from a diverse audience group, and ensure that Interbike continues to be a global gathering for the cycling industry. We will also benefit from his vast show experience to help design new and innovative sections of Interbike.”
