Hermosa Tours Expanding

Published October 15, 2010

DURANGO, CO (BRAIN)—Hermosa Tours are opening up a regional headquarters in Oregon, expanding their menu of mountain bike tour destinations.

By joining forces with Ryan Goodwin, former network distribution manager for Bionicon USA, Hermosa Tours plans to add a number of exciting new tours to their offerings over the next couple of years.

Goodwin will serve as managing director for California, the Pacific Northwest states, Montana and Wyoming. Hermosa Tours' regional headquarters will be located in Hood River, Oregon, a thriving adventure destination, for its proximity to quality mountain bike trails, and prime location in the heart of the Cascades, according to a press release.

Hermosa Tours founder and owner Matt McFee sees the move as a strategic way to grow and take advantage of new destinations without sacrificing the integrity of existing services. "In the past, my fear was that we might spread ourselves too thin launching tours in new areas," McFee said. "But having an on-the-ground presence, along with Ryan's intimate knowledge of the region, I see us growing while maintaining our focus on quality."

In today's growing market of cycling enthusiasts, from casual to professional, Hermosa Tours anticipates that the expansion is timely. "With more and more people getting outdoors, and planning vacations closer to home, the timing is ideal," Goodwin said. "I am excited to help take Hermosa Tours to the next level, and expand their selection of mountain bike tours to include destinations all over the west."

Goodwin will run existing multi-day tours in northeastern Washington's Kettle Crest area, and in the southern Sierra's Giant Sequoia National Forest, and work to establish tours in new areas across the region.
