Pedro's, World Bicycle Relief Partner Up

Published March 17, 2009

WILMINGTON, MA (BRAIN)—Pedro's has entered into a tool supply partnership with World Bicycle Relief.

Working with World Bicycle Relief staff, Pedro's developed a special mechanics tool set including two proprietary designs to equip more than 400 mechanics who care for and maintain the 23,000 bicycles Project Zambia provides for community home-based care volunteers and disease prevention educators.

"We firmly believe that the bicycle is an instrument of good," said Pedro's chief executive officer Chris Zigmont. "Keeping those bikes rolling has the potential to provide independence and livelihood that can affect change within an entire village."
