Mobile repair service signs up 20 franchises throughout the Western US.

SAN CARLOS, Calif. (BRAIN) — Mobile repair service Beeline Bikes has opened its first two franchises and has signed a total of 20 franchises to date in markets including Denver and Boulder, Colorado; Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona; Los Angeles; the San Francisco Bay Area; and Northern California's Napa Valley.

WASHINGTON (BRAIN) — U.S. Reps. Earl Blumenauer (D-Ore.) and Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.), co-chairs of the Congressional Bike Caucus, introduced the Bikeshare Transit Act on Thursday. The legislation would provide local communities additional flexibility to use federal funds for bike share programs.

SALT LAKE CITY (BRAIN) — Fat bike sales appear to be alive and well with Louis Garneau planning to introduce two new models into the U.S. market this April. And the company has a sample model on display at Outdoor Retailer where, it appears, the outdoor industry is embracing the fat.
