Colorado Springs, Colorado / June 29, 2023 – We are thrilled to announce that USA Cycling has partnered with BikeInsure through 2026, a bicycle insurance company that shares our commitment to promoting the crucial 'need' of protecting bicycles with its specialty bike insurance policy.

As a USA Cycling member, you can quickly sign up for BikeInsure Bike Coverage to safeguard your new and used bikes and eBikes from any damages resulting from riding accidents or while in transit. Plus, you can even add optional bike Theft Protection. When optional theft protection is selected, your coverage extends to a stolen bicycle or eBike.

Simply log in to your USA Cycling member account to start the sign-up process and enjoy 'peace of mind' with BikeInsure coverage.

BikeInsure CEO Buzzy Cohn advises that USA Cycling members get a specialty bike insurance policy to avoid riding, transit, or theft risks. While homeowners' insurance is necessary to protect your home from catastrophic losses, it is likely insufficient to safeguard your bike or eBike. Homeowner's insurance typically involves high deductibles, and filing a claim may increase your insurance premium. Making multiple claims may lead to the non-renewal of your policy and inclusion on the insurance industry's CLUE Report, making it difficult to get future home coverage. The BikeInsure policy is a simple bike insurance solution that provides comprehensive coverage. The significant advantage is that making a claim with a BikeInsure policy won't have any impact on your homeowner's insurance coverage.

"As the official bike insurance provider of USA Cycling, BikeInsure brings a wealth of expertise and experience in safeguarding bicycles against theft, damage, and accidents. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to support and enhance the cycling experience for riders of all levels across the nation," said Eric Bennett, Director of Membership at USA Cycling. "Through our partnership with BikeInsure, we aim to provide riders across the United States with the peace of mind they deserve, ensuring that they can ride and race with confidence, knowing their bikes are protected."
