Gruener-Goss Joins Trailhead Team

Published August 22, 2011

BUENA VISTA, CA (BRAIN)—Cat Gruener-Goss has joined The Trailhead and Trailhead Cycle & Ski as general manager.

Gruener-Goss’s most recent full-time position was as senior instructor at Barnett Bicycle Institute in Colorado Springs. She will lead, direct and supervise all elements of day-to-day operations and assist in strategic and mid-range planning for the outdoor specialty retailer, which celebrates its 40th year as a business in 2012.

“We are extremely happy that Cat has accepted our offer to join our team,” co-owners Keith and Evelyn Baker said. “We value the technical skills she honed at BBI, but more importantly Cat has the vision, customer service and leadership skills needed to grow the Trailhead brands in the direction we want them to go.”

“Cat is a competitive mountain biker; she placed fourth in the Leadville 100 and won her category in the Mountain States Cup, and is a versatile outdoors athlete who also enjoys backpacking, climbing 14ers, trail running and snowboarding with her family,” Keith Baker said.

Gruener-Goss plans to work closely with the Buena Vista High School Mountain Biking Team, conduct women’s cycling workshops, and engage in trails advocacy as her community involvement projects.

“I look forward to moving the Trailhead team toward greater efficiency and success,” Gruener-Goss said. “I have no doubt this is the right decision to join the Trailhead team and embark on this new adventure.”
