Published June 2, 2011

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (BRAIN)—Performance Bicycle will now carry Cycles Devinci models in select markets across the U.S.

More than 15 locations throughout Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico and Idaho will carry the Split Pivot and Road Carbon models, with additional stores to follow in 2012. The models will also be available online at PerformanceBike.com.

“We are excited to align our brand with Cycles Devinci, one of the most respected names in cycling,” said Bo Glenn, divisional merchandise manager bicycles, Performance Bicycle. “The goal of Performance Bicycle is to offer the very best in quality equipment to our customers, regardless of experience level, and this partnership is a true testament to that goal.”

Founded in Quebec, Canada, in 1987, Cycles Devinci specializes in producing a wide variety of high-quality aluminum frames, including custom, road, mountain and urban options. Last fall, Devinci re-launched its range of mountain bikes under a new suspension design license called the Split Pivot, from inventor and well-known suspension guru Dave Weagle.

“Devinci and Performance Bicycle are both synonymous with providing active consumers with first-rate products,” said Max Lamirande, Cycles Devinci sales director. “This new partnership enables our company to be present in key U.S. markets and ultimately gives the end-user (or simply consumers) easier access to the products in an industry-leading environment such as Performance Bicycle stores.”
