BOULDER, CO (BRAIN)—As part of the 2010 Selling Cycling staff training program, Growth Cycle has produced The 71% Solution, a 15-minute video (click on link) that helps shop staff better relate to the needs of non-enthusiast consumers.
"The title comes from a 2008 Gallup poll, where 71% of American adults said they want to ride a bicycle more often," said Growth Cycle president Ray Keener. "That's 167 million people."
The 71% Solution features 30 candid customer interviews. "This is a new and really effective technique," Keener said. "We've known for a long time that shop staff are intimidating to newcomers, now they can hear it from their customers." The complete Selling Cycling program, on DVD and online, will be ready in early February, for a cost of $200 per store.
